For over thirty years the Baldwin Group, Inc. (BGi) has been recognized as a leader in the information technology industry with a solid reputation for outstanding software and unparalleled customer support. Hundreds of private and public entities have relied on BGi to provide reliable and well-designed software products and consulting services.

BGi was established as William Price & Associates in 1980, a Computer Consulting Company dealing primarily with mid-range computers (System/34 and System/36).  The company changed ownership and name (to the Baldwin Group Inc.) in 1993 but continued its role in the mid-range community, becoming an IBM Certified Partner.  As AS/400 (the successor mid-range computer to the System/36) Computer Consultants, Baldwin Group employees worked in both large and small firms from Goodyear Tire and Rubber, to Bonne Bell, to Cleveland Plant and Flower.

In 1995, BGi entered the PC-based municipal software arena with the development of Mayor’s Court, a comprehensive court management system for Ohio’s Mayor’s Courts.  The software was installed in the City of Parma Heights and the Village of Richfield in 1995 and 1996 respectively.  As of the start of 2015, over one hundred and eighty (180) of the approximately three hundred and ten (310) Mayor’s Courts in the state use BGi’s Mayor’s Court™ system.

BGi developed MITS™ – Municipal Income Tax Solutions in 2001.  MITS, used by over eighty (80) municipalities, is a full-featured system to manage local income tax collection.  With Mayor’s Court, MITS and other applications, BGi has over two hundred and sixty (260) municipal clients.

Also in 2001, BGi partnered with Pegasys Computer Technologies, Inc. to develop web-based applications and services.  Over the next five years web-based modules were added to our product offerings:  MITS eFile and ePayment modules, internet backup of software and data modules were added for all clients, and Online Docketing and Electronic Ticket Payment for the Mayor’s Courts.  In 2015, Pegasys merged with BGi to combine all previously joint ventures under The Baldwin Group name.

In 2010, BGi worked with Asset Management Technologies to develop and support Labor Profit Management Software:  http://www.assetmanagementtechnologies.com/.  The Labor Profit Management System is a state of the art, web-based application that allows business owners to measure and manage productivity, efficiency and effective labor rates.

Partnering with Global Vocabulary LLC in 2013, BGi jointly developed tablet apps and web-books designed to prepare individuals for standardized admission tests to colleges, conservatories, and graduate schools:  http://www.globalvocabulary.net/.  The learning method features multi-sensory vocabulary acquisition and contextual vocabulary techniques [patent pending], which combine visual, audio, and kinesthetic learning modalities to maximize learning and retention.

In 2015, Comprehensive Health Care (CHC) merged with The Baldwin Group, Inc to bring the Health District Information System (HDIS) software into the fold.  HDIS is a premier, comprehensive and user-friendly software program for recording, tracking, and managing all of a Health Department’s daily workload.  HDIS is currently utilized by over one-hundred twenty (120) Health Departments in Ohio and Montana.
